When it comes to water damage, a quick and accurate diagnosis is critical to successful remediation.
Thermal imaging is a type of infrared imaging, using thermographic cameras that detect radiation and produce images of that radiation. Thermal Imaging cameras are used to identify areas where water damage may have occurred and offer a non-destructive way to test and quickly scan for the presence of moisture.
This technology helps us to better detect the smallest temperature variations to track down the origin of problems and allows us to fully document the extent of remediation. Benefits include:
• Faster, more complete pictures of water damage. • More detailed reports of the findings. • Allows the operator to scan large areas at a time to obtain a more broad-based reading of moisture presence. • Serves as an invaluable tool for verifying that all water-damaged areas are completely dry at the end of a restoration job.
Here are two samples of thermal imaging.

The scale to the right of the image shows the range in temperature. The images are showing wet carpet and the wall next to the carpet. The vertical lines are the wall studs. The image on the right also shows someone's footprints. See how far away those spots are from the main area of damage?
